Miami hosts Pittsburgh on Saturday night in a must-win game for the Hurricanes.

Mario Cristobal needs to deliver on a win this weekend in order to reach bowl eligibility in his first year at the helm. Miami enters this game with a 5-6 record.

ESPN’s Football Power Index evaluates this game as a virtual coin flip. FPI gives the Canes a 44.7% chance of beating Pitt at home on Saturday night.

Miami has not won at home this season since Sept. 10 against Southern Miss. All three of the Canes’ ACC victories this year (Virginia, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech) have come on the road.

Quarterback Tyler Van Dyke remains questionable with a shoulder injury. Van Dyke has not played for the Canes since the Florida State game earlier this month. He initially suffered this injury back in October against Duke.

If Van Dyke isn’t able to go, Miami is expected to start true freshman Jacurri Brown at quarterback. Jake Garcia could also see significant snaps at quarterback vs. the Panthers.

Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
