ESPN's SP+ predicts final score in Miami-Texas A&M showdown
Miami is a 6-point underdog on the road at Texas A&M on Saturday night.
While ESPN’s Football Power Index favors the Hurricanes, ESPN’s SP+ is projecting an outcome more similar to the Vegas betting line.
SP+ is predicting a final score of 29-22 in favor of Texas A&M.
There have been multiple personnel updates throughout the week regarding this game.
For Texas A&M, the Aggies are reportedly making a quarterback change. LSU transfer Max Johnson is expected to replace Haynes King under center.
Miami also reportedly learned late this week that it will be without star receiver Xavier Restrepo. That could have a major impact on Miami’s offense, as Restrepo is the only Canes’ receiver to have more than 100 yards on the season so far.
The Hurricanes are getting back a few key players this week. Mario Cristobal told reporters that Zion Nelson, Jaylan Knighton and Akheem Mesidor are expected to be “full speed” on Saturday. Receiver Jacolby George will also presumably be back after serving a 2-game suspension to start the year.
Miami and Texas A&M kick off at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
