A former top-50 recruit and transfer from the SEC is making a stop in ACC territory at Miami this week.

Texas A&M DE Tunmise Adeleye announced last week that he would be entering the NCAA transfer portal. By Monday, Adeleye shared that he would be making a trip to Miami from Dec. 13-15.

Here’s his announcement:

Adeleye was a 4-star recruit who committed to the Aggies in 2020. Seeing no playing time in his freshman campaign, Adeleye chose to redshirt his sophomore year, and was the starting DE for A&M after fall camp. Adeleye registered four solo tackles and 2 assisted tackles in his first two starts of the season in wins over Sam Houston and App State.

In addition to Miami, Adeleye also announced that he would be taking a visit to Michigan State as well. He could add other programs to his visit list before making a final decision.

As a recruit, Adeleye fielded offers from powerhouse schools like Alabama, Ohio State, and Georgia before picking the Aggies. He was the No. 39 overall player in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings

Miami is expected to be aggressive in the transfer portal this offseason. The Canes have already lost more than a dozen players from their 2022 team to the transfer portal.
