Mario Cristobal gives injury update on several key players ahead of Week 6
Mario Cristobal met with reporters on Monday afternoon to preview Miami’s Week 6 matchup against Georgia Tech.
The Hurricanes are coming out of their bye week with a 4-0 record. They’re also hoping to be healthier going into this weekend’s game against the Yellow Jackets.
Cristobal told reporters on Monday that injured players Zion Nelson, TreVonte Citizen and Elijah Arroyo are close to making their season debuts.
Asked about the Zion Nelson, TreVonte' Citizen and Elijah Arroyo, who have been not played due to injuries since last year.
Cristobal said all three are close to returning; Arroyo could get on the field this weekend, and Citizen is not far behind.

Nelson would be a big addition to Miami’s offense line. Once thought of as a top NFL Draft prospect, Nelson has played sparingly over the past couple of seasons due to injuries.
Citizen and Arroyo both suffered torn ACLs last season and are still working their way back.
Cristobal was more vague when asked about the status of star pass rusher Akheem Mesidor and defensive tackle Branson Deen.
“We’ll see,” Cristobal said.
