Mario Cristobal gives positive update on injured offensive lineman
Miami coach Mario Cristobal had good news on Monday regarding the health of starting right tackle DJ Scaife.
Cristobal said Scaife practiced on Monday despite leaving Saturday’s loss to Texas A&M with a sprained ankle. He added that Scaife could have returned late in the game but was held back.

That’s great news for a Miami offensive line that is already a bit banged up to start the year. Zion Nelson has been in-and-out of the lineup at left tackle while he recovers from offseason knee surgery.
On Saturday night against the Aggies, Nelson filled in for Scaife when he was out with the ankle injury. John Campbell Jr. has been playing left tackle for the Canes.
Miami’s offensive line has been much-improved this season, and did a solid job against a talented Texas A&M front seven on Saturday night.
The Canes will host Middle Tennessee in Week 4.
