Mario Cristobal reportedly closing in on UCF assistant for vacant RB coach role
Mario Cristobal, Miami’s head coach, is reportedly close to making a hire for the team’s vacant RBs coach position. Per Andy Slater, The Hurricanes are closing in on UCF assistant Tim Harris Jr.
Harris started his collegiate coaching career at Florida Atlantic as the Owls’ running backs coach. He was promoted to offensive coordinator/RB coach in 2021 and was hired by UCF the year following as co-offensive coordinator and running backs coach.

Harris Jr. had most recently been an assistant head coach at UCF.

Harris is expected to take over for Kevin Smith, who recently departed Coral Gables for the same position.
