5-star receiver Hykeem Williams has announced 6 finalists and set his commitment date.
Williams will announce his decision on Sept. 23 in a ceremony at his high school.
He’s still considering Miami, Texas A&M, Pittsburgh, Florida State, Alabama and Georgia. Here’s his announcement:
Williams is one of the top overall players in the country. He’s the No. 19 player and the No. 2 wide receiver for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
He’s from Fort Lauderdale, making him an especially high-priority target for Miami. The Canes have recruited very well overall this cycle, but have had some trouble at receiver. Miami has just 1 commitment from a wide receiver so far — 4-star Nathaniel Joseph.
Overall, the Canes have one of the nation’s best recruiting classes as of early August. Miami has 17 commitments and the No. 9 class nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings
.
It’s worth noting that Williams’ commitment will come less than 1 week after Miami travels to College Station to take on Texas A&M — another one of his finalists. Miami also faces Pittsburgh and Florida State in 2022.
