Miami was not included in the updated AP Top 25 poll released on Monday morning.

The Hurricanes were expected to be ranked following their upset win over Duke at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Saturday. Miami has won nine straight games and is 5-0 in ACC play.

Miami did receive votes this week and is effectively the No. 28 team in this week’s poll. Oklahoma and Loyola Chicago received more votes than the Hurricanes this week but also did not make the Top 25.

Duke slipped to No. 8 in this week’s poll and remains the only ACC team to be included in the Top 25.

With the win, Miami took over sole possession of first place in the ACC standings. The Hurricanes are the last remaining undefeated team in the conference.

Coach Jim Larrañaga also made history, becoming the fifth college coach to defeat a top 5 Duke team on the road on multiple occasions.

Miami’s nine-game winning streak includes victories over programs like Penn State, Clemson, NC State, Wake Forest and Syracuse.

Kameron McGusty is Miami’s leading scorer so far this season with 18.1 points per game. He’s been one of the best players in the ACC so far this year. Isaiah Wong (16.3 points) and Charlie Moore (12.1 points) are also averaging double figures.

Miami will be in action again on Tuesday against Florida State.
