Fletcher attends American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale. Convincing Fletcher to stay close to home is a big win for the Canes’ 2023 recruiting class.
He ranks as the No. 243 overall player and the No. 15 running back in the country for the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 48 overall player from Florida.
Miami now has two blue-chip running backs in the class of 2023. Fletcher joins 4-star running back Christopher Johnson, who committed to Miami earlier this month. Miami is likely to have positions open in its running back rotation this year as Jaylan Knighton and Thaddius Franklin Jr. have entered the transfer portal.
Miami is up to 25 commitments in the class of 2023. The group ranks No. 3 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. Only Georgia and Alabama currently rank higher.
The Early Signing Period begins on Wednesday.
