Miami upset No. 2 Texas 88-81 on Sunday night in Kansas to advance to its 1st Final Four in program history.
The Canes trailed by 10 points with just 8:30 to go. But from there, they controlled the game and were able to stretch their lead in the game’s final minute.
Miami’s 2nd half comeback did not include a 3-point make. The Canes went 0-for-5 from beyond the arc in the second half, but they were excellent from the charity stripe. They made 24-of-25 foul shots in the 2nd half. As a team, the Canes shot 28-of-32 from the foul line.
