Miami is headed back to the Sweet 16.

The No. 5-seeded Canes defeated Indiana 85-69 on Sunday night to advance to next weekend. It’s their 2nd straight trip to the Sweet 16 after making it all the way to the Elite Eight in 2022.

Miami led for all but 6:22 of this game. The Canes controlled things from the start and used a 28-13 run in the 2nd half to separate from the Hoosiers.

Isaiah Wong led the way with 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting. Jordan Miller and Nijel Pack also scored in double figures. Norchad Omier was dominant on the boards, securing 15 rebounds in the win.

This will be Miami’s 5th-ever appearance in the Sweet 16. It’s the 1st time in program history that the Canes have reached this benchmark in back-to-back campaigns.

Miami will face No. 1-seeded Houston in Kansas City on Friday with a spot in the Elite Eight on the line. A tipoff time will be announced at a later date.
