3-star defensive lineman Andrew Rumph is nearing a final decision.

Rumph, a target for Miami in the class of 2023, has named four finalists and set his commitment date for Dec. 21. That day marks the beginning of the Early Signing Period.

In addition to Miami, Rumph is also considering Maryland, Indiana and Central Florida. Here’s his announcement:

Rumph attends Palmetto High School in Palmetoo, Fla. He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 265 pounds.

Rumph would be a solid addition to Miami’s 2023 recruiting class. He’s the No. 87-ranked defensive lineman in the country for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Miami has been looking for additional depth on the defensive line in this class. As of now, the Hurricanes have just two DL commitments in this cycle: 4-star Jayden Wayne and 3-star Joshua Horton.
