Carver chose the Hurricanes over offers from programs like Auburn, Iowa and Florida State, amongst others.
He’s the No. 25 tight end in the country for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 2 player from the state of Indiana.
Listed at 6-foot-6, 220 pounds, Carver has the frame to be an early contributor for Miami.
The Hurricanes have done a good job of recruiting and developing tight ends in recent years. Will Mallory will be back in 2022 and is a candidate to earn All-ACC honors. The Canes also flipped tight end Jaleel Skinner from Alabama in their 2022 signing class.
Miami now has 6 commitments in the class of 2023. The group ranks No. 40 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
