Miami flips DL commitment from ACC rival

Miami continues to make significant progress on the recruiting trail in the class of 2023.

On Sunday afternoon, the Hurricanes picked up a commitment from 3-star defensive lineman Joshua Horton. The talented lineman flipped his commitment from North Carolina.

Horton is Miami’s third commitment in the class of 2023 in the last week.

He’s become a top prospect for the Canes in recent weeks. Horton has also had significant interest from programs like Auburn, LSU, Michigan, Tennessee and Florida State.

He is the No. 100 defensive lineman in the country for this cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. His flip to Miami is not a surprise, as multiple industry experts were forecasting this as a possibility

earlier this week.

Miami is now up to 22 commitments for this cycle. The class ranks No. 8 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. It’s currently the top-ranked class in the ACC.
