Miami picked up another big-time prospect on the first day of the Early Signing Period on Wednesday.

The Hurricanes earned a commitment from 4-star cornerback Damari Brown. He follows his older brother, Davonte Brown, who committed to Miami as a transfer from UCF earlier this week.

Here’s video of Damari Brown’s announcement:

Brown is the son of former Miami player Selwyn Brown, who was a member of the Canes’ 1987 National Championship team.

He’s also one of the highest-rated prospects in this class. He’s the No. 187 overall player and the No. 23 cornerback in the class of 2023, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Brown attends American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds.

His commitment put an end to a very successful Early Signing Period for the Hurricanes. Miami is now up to 26 commits. The group ranks No. 4 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. Only Alabama, Georgia and Texas have higher-ranked classes. No other ACC program is in the top 10 nationally.
