Miami lands commitment from Ole Miss transfer RB Henry Parrish Jr.

Miami picked up a big commitment from running back Henry Parrish Jr. on Sunday afternoon.

Parrish arrives at Miami after spending the past two seasons at Ole Miss. He originally attended Columbus High School in Miami.

Here’s his announcement:

Parrish is the second Miami native to pick the Hurricanes out of the transfer portal in as many days, joining former Clemson receiver Frank Ladson Jr.

In two seasons with the Rebels, Parrish carried the ball 161 times for 814 yards and 5 touchdowns. He’s also adept as a receiver — he caught 21 passes for 173 yards in 2021.

Miami star Jaylan Knighton is expected to return next season, but there’s still plenty of touches to go around in this offense. M

iami’s second-leading rusher, Cam’ron Harris, entered the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Hurricanes also return star quarterback Tyler Van Dyke and tight end Will Mallory. They could have one of the most explosive offenses in the ACC next season despite losing Harris and receiver Charleston Rambo to the draft.
