Miami picked up a huge addition in the transfer portal on Friday afternoon.

The Hurricanes landed a commitment from USC transfer defensive lineman Jake Lichtenstein. He made the announcement on Twitter:

Lichtenstein was a productive player for the Trojans this season. He played in 12 games, compiling 28 total tackles, 6 tackles for loss and 4 sacks. This was his fifth season in Los Angeles and it was by far his best.

He redshirted in 2017 and played a reserve role for USC in 2018. He missed the 2019 season due to injuries and played in just two games of a COVID-19-shortened 2020 season. Lichtenstein has one year of eligibility remaining.

Lichtenstein is originally from Fort Lauderdale. He joined USC in the class of 2017 and was a 3-star prospect, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

Miami also earned a commitment from 4-star tight end prospect Jaleel Skinner on Friday. Skinner is an IMG Academy product and was previously committed to Alabama.
