Miami tight end Jaleel Skinner has entered the transfer portal, according to a report.

On3’s Hayes Fawcett was first to share that news on Tuesday afternoon. Skinner spent 2 seasons with Miami before departing the program.

Skinner was a big recruiting win for Miami in the class of 2022. He flipped his commitment from Alabama to Miami just before signing day of the 2022 recruiting cycle. He was the No. 102 overall player and the No. 3 tight end in that class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.

However, despite his strong pedigree as a high school prospect, Skinner never really cracked Miami’s tight end rotation. He caught 1 pass for 9 yards this season in very limited playing time.

Miami does have other tight ends on its roster who could be back in 2024, including Elijah Arroyo and former 4-star prospect Riley Williams. It’s unclear if Miami will look for a replacement tight end in the transfer portal this offseason.
