Miami picked up three big commitments on National Signing Day.

The Hurricanes picked up 3-star offensive lineman Anez Cooper, 3-star defensive lineman Ahmad Moten and 4-star running back TreVonte Citizen.

Citizen is Miami’s highest-ranked pickup of the day. He’s the No. 107 overall player and the No. 9 running back in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s a Louisiana native who had offers from LSU, Auburn and Texas, amongst other programs.

Moten picked Miami despite a late push from Oklahoma. He also had an offer from programs like Georgia, Auburn and Tennessee.

Cooper is a big addition along the offensive line. He also had offers from Auburn and Georgia.

Miami’s 2022 recruiting class now has 13 members and is ranked No. 14 nationally and No. 3 in the ACC, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. That’s a good recovery considering the class was outside the top-50 nationally when the program parted ways with former coach Manny Diaz.

Mario Cristobal has done a good job of keeping Miami’s current commitments and continuing to add to it with quality as well as quantity. Only North Carolina and Clemson have higher-ranked classes in the ACC this cycle.

One player Miami was unable to convince was 5-star defensive lineman Shemar Stewart, who chose to stick with his pledge at Texas A&M.
