Miami has made a new 2024 quarterback offer to 3-star Maealiuaki Smith.

Smith confirmed the offer on his Twitter page on Tuesday. He tagged several offensive coaches, including head coach Mario Cristobal and offensive coordinator Josh Gattis.

Here’s the announcement:

Smith plays for Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, California. Along with being a 3-star, the 247Sports Composite rankings have Smith listed No. 38 prospect in California and the No. 35 quarterback recruit in 2024. Smith is also a top 500 recruit in the entire country for the class of 2024.

Arizona, Florida State, Louisville, and Michigan State are among some of the schools to offer Smith. Miami will have to work against several other schools to land Smith’s commitment.

In 2024, Miami currently has the No. 39 overall recruiting class, per 247Sports. However, there’s still plenty of time in the 2024 cycle for Miami to improve that ranking.

Miami will look to become bowl eligible against Pittsburgh on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.
