Van Buren is one of the top quarterback recruits in the country for the class of 2024. He’s currently ranked No. 8 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
He attends St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. He’s listed at 6-foot, 185 pounds.
Miami will be facing some stiff competition for Van Buren, but the Canes are looking for a quarterback of the future. Miami’s lone QB commit in the class of 2023 is 3-star QB Emory Williams.
Miami does not yet have a major commitment in the class of 2024. The only prospect currently committed for that cycle is unranked kicker Abram Murray. The Canes will likely increase their recruitment of 2024 prospects in the coming weeks as the 2023 cycle comes to a close.
