Miami makes the cut for No. 1 RB in class of 2024
Miami is in the mix to land the No. 1 overall running back in the class of 2024.
Jerrick Gibson announced his top 12 schools on Tuesday afternoon. The Gainesville native is also considering Florida, but rival Florida State did not make the cut.
His is full list includes Michigan, Arkansas, Georgia, Alabama, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio State, Oregon and Tennessee. Here’s his announcement:

Gibson is the No. 1 running back and the No. 8 overall player in the country for his cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
Miami only has 2 commitments so far in the class of 2024, the Canes are doing a good job of making in-roads in this class. Miami is one of the favorites to land 5-star EDGE TJ Capers.
Gibson attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. He’s listed at 5-foot-10, 200 pounds.
Gibson took an unofficial visit to Miami over the summer. The Canes will surely be looking to bring him back for an official sometime in 2023.
