Miami is one of a few teams still in the mix for 4-star running back Ca’lil Valentine.
Valentine, an Arizona native, announced his top 8 on Friday afternoon. In addition to the Canes, he’s still considering Auburn, Oregon, Utah, Penn State, Michigan State, Oregon State and Illinois.

Valentine also said he will announce his commitment on July 8.
He’s a top target for Miami in the class of 2024. He took an unofficial visit to campus back in the spring.
Valentine would be a major addition for the Canes in this cycle if they’re able to land his commitment. He’s ranked as the No. 359 overall player and the No. 32 running back in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 8 player from the state of Arizona.
Valentine attends Chandler High School in Chandler, Arizona. He’s listed at 6-foot, 180 pounds.
