Miami parted ways with Josh Gattis after one season, and now the Hurricanes are looking for a replacement at offensive coordinator.
The Hurricanes are looking to improve from last season’s production when they were No. 86 in the country in total offense.
James Coley, who is on the Texas A&M staff, is an option. Coley is a Miami native who was Miami’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach from 2013 to 2015. Coley was Cristobal’s offensive coordinator in 2007 before he left for Florida State. Miami’s offense averaged 33.8 points per game in Coley’s first season with the Hurricanes in 2013 with Stephen Morris at quarterback.
Marcus Arroyo, who recently parted ways as the head coach at UNLV. He was a part of Cristobal’s Oregon coaching staff (2017-2019). He served as the co-offensive coordinator and quarterback and tight ends coach during his first season in Eugene, then the offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach and tight ends coach in 2018, while he was the assistant head coach, offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2019.
Joe Brady, the Buffalo Bills QB coach, was also mentioned, and he has been on some lists for the same opening at Alabama.
