Miami is a significant favorite next week against Southern Miss.

CircaSports released the first lines for Week 2 on Sunday afternoon, and it has the Canes listed as 27-point favorites. The initial total has been set at 54.5 points.

Miami is 1-0 against the spread this season after comfortably covering the number in its 70-13 victory over Bethune-Cookman in Week 1. Miami scored 7 rushing touchdowns in that win.

This will be the final game for Miami until it makes the trip to College Station to face Texas A&M. The Aggies are expected to be favored in that contest, although Miami has been impressive so far in the Mario Cristobal era.

Southern Miss is coming off an overtime loss at home to Liberty over the weekend. The Golden Eagles fell 29-27 in quadruple overtime.

Kickoff is at 12 p.m. ET next Saturday in Coral Gables.
