Miami is a favorite on the road this weekend at Virginia.

Despite the ugly loss to Duke over the weekend, the Canes are 3-point favorite on the road this week. That’s according to the initial line set by CircaSports. The total has been set at 46.5 points.

Virginia is coming off a win over Georgia Tech in Week 8. The Cavaliers out-lasted a Georgia Tech team that did not have quarterback Jeff Sims for the majority of the game.

Miami turned the ball over a shocking eight times last week in its loss to Duke. The Canes are also dealing with some uncertainty at the quarterback position, as Tyler Van Dyke was forced to leave the game early due to injury.

Miami desperately needs a win on Saturday in order to give itself a chance at bowl eligibility. The Canes are 3-4 on the season and will need to play well in November in order to make the postseason.
