The Hurricanes picked up a commitment from 5-star offensive lineman Samson Okunlola. The Massachusetts native made his announcement in a ceremony at his high school.
Legendary announcement from @SAMSONOKUNLOLA_. Pancakes, unsurprisingly, played a key part.

Okunlola is a massive addition for Miami. The Canes now have three 5-star prospects in the class of 2023, including two along the offensive line. Okunlola joins IMG Academy product Francis Mauigoa as 5-star prospects up front.
Okunlola is the No. 20 overall player in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 3 offensive tackle and the No. 1 player from the state of Massachusetts.
Listed at 6-foot-5, 305 pounds, he attends Thayer Academy in Brockton, Mass. He also had offers from programs like Alabama and Florida.
Miami already had the ACC’s top recruiting class, but Okunlola’s addition vaults the Canes into the top three nationally. Miami’s class now ranks No. 3 in the country, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. Only Alabama and Georgia rank higher.
