Miami running back target Mark Fletcher will visit the Hurricanes this weekend.

He delivered that news to the Sun-Sentinel’s Adam Lichtenstein on Friday night. Fletcher also said he already knows where he’s going to sign when the Early Signing Period begins on Wednesday.

Fletcher is a former Ohio State commit who is also a Miami native. Florida appears to be the Canes’ top competition to sign Fletcher next week. He visited Gainesville earlier this month.

If Miami is able to earn Fletcher’s commitment, it would be a major boost for Miami’s already-elite 2023 recruiting class. He ranks as the No. 242 overall player and the No. 15 running back in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Miami’s 2023 recruiting class currently ranks No. 4 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. Miami does have one running back already committed in 4-star Christopher Johnson, who joined the class last week. Overall, the Canes have 24 commits in this class.
