Miami is out with its practice schedule this spring, and has announced the date of the 2023 spring game.

Miami will start practice on March 4th, and have its spring game on Friday, April 14th.

The Hurricanes have plenty to work on this spring, especially on offense after Mario Cristobal fired offensive coordinator Josh Gattis.

The Hurricanes went 5-7 in Gattis’ lone season after he won the 2021 Broyles Award — given to the nation’s top assistant coach while at Michigan.

Miami had plenty of turnover at quarterback, starting with starting QB Tyler Van Dyke battling a shoulder injury, then Jake Garcia took over, and he’s since transferred, and then Jacurri Brown took over for much of the season.

Miami was 86th nationally in total offense last season, averaging 367.1 yards per game, and 97th in scoring offense.

On defense, the Canes will be led by safety Kamren Kinchens who will likely receive some preseason All-America attention later in the summer.
