Miami takes care of business vs. Georgia Tech, holds onto 1st place in ACC standings
Miami defeated Georgia Tech 73-62 on Saturday afternoon, moving to 8-2 in ACC play.
With the win, the Canes ensure they will hold onto their first-place status in the ACC through this weekend. Their only conference losses this season have come vs. Florida State.
Kameron McGusty led the way with 20 points on 16 shots. He also chipped in 5 rebounds and made all 8 of his free throw attempts.
After the game, McGusty caught up with Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young who was in attendance. McGusty and Young were teammates at Oklahoma several years ago.

Jordan Miller (13 points) and Charlie Moore (12 points) also scored in double figures.
The big different in this game came at the charity stripe. Miami made 21-of-25 free throws while Georgia Tech went just 3-of-10.
The Canes are continuing to build their NCAA Tournament résumé. Miami has now won 12 of its last 14 games, a span that stretches all the way back to Dec. 1.
Miami faces Notre Dame on Wednesday.
