Miami will host receiver Jeremiah Smith this weekend, the 5-star prospect announced on Monday.

Smith, a Florida native, will visit the Canes as they debut their “Miami nights” uniforms this week vs. Georgia Tech. It’s expected to be a major recruiting weekend for Miami.

Here’s his visit announcement:

Smith has been committed to Ohio State since last December. However, Miami and Florida State — amongst other programs — have continued to recruit Smith.

Those ACC programs do have a proximity advantage over the Buckeyes. Smith attends Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Opa Locka, Florida. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 198 pounds.

Smith is the No. 1 overall prospect in the country for the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Smith has already taken visits to Florida and Florida State this fall. He also made another trip to Columbus last month.

Miami currently has 22 commits in the class of 2024. The group sits at No. 17 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
