Miami is reportedly in good position to land a commitment from 3-star defensive lineman Joshua Horton.
Horton, who is currently committed to North Carolina, took a visit to Miami back in October.
This week, multiple 247Sports recruiting experts have filed Crystal Ball projections for the Hurricanes to land Horton’s commitment before signing day.
On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine is also favoring Miami in this recruitment. It gives the Canes a 71.8% chance to flip Horton’s commitment from the Tar Heels.
Horton would be a big addition for Miami’s defensive line class in 2023. The Georgia native is the No. 100 defensive lineman in the country for this cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
In addition to being committed to North Carolina, Horton has taken multiple visits to Auburn this fall. He also has offers from programs like LSU, Michigan, Tennessee and Florida State.
Miami has 20 commitments in the class of 2023 so far. The group ranks No. 9 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
