Miami trending up for transfer OL target from Alabama
Miami appears to be in good position to land a commitment from former Alabama offensive lineman Javion Cohen.
Cohen has entered the transfer portal after three seasons with the Crimson Tide. According to multiple 247Sports Crystal Ball projections, Miami is currently the favorite to land Cohen’s commitment.
The projections were filed on Tuesday by 247Sports’ national writer Chris Hummer and InsideTheU’s Gaby Urrutia.
If Miami is able to land Cohen, he would be a major addition for the Canes. Cohen has started 25 of 27 games for Alabama over the past two seasons. He primarily served as the Crimson Tide’s left guard.
According to Pro Football Focus, Cohen did not allow a sack during his time at Alabama.

Miami will be looking for better offensive line play in 2022. The Canes battled injury and inconsistency issues up front this season, which contributed to an underwhelming offense.
There is no timetable for Cohen’s decision.
