Miami will have new alternate uniforms for the 2022 season.

On Friday, the Canes unveiled their “Miami Nights” alternates for this upcoming campaign. The uniforms will be on sale to the public on Monday.

Here’s the announcement:

This set of alternates drew quite a bit of reaction on Twitter — some positive and some negative.

The new uniform reveal comes just a few days after Miami gave its players their first look at brand new locker rooms.

With coach Mario Cristobal and athletic director Dan Radakovich arriving in the offseason, the Canes have already made several major upgrades to the program.

“When Mario (Cristobal) came and I came shortly thereafter, there were some things we wanted to do to make sure the student-athletes knew that this is a new time,” Radakovich told the ACC Network when speaking about Miami’s new locker rooms. “And this is one of those ways. To be able to show the student-athletes, ‘hey, we care about you.’ And this locker room is really a first step.”

Miami opens the 2022 season with Bethune-Cookman on Sept. 3.
