Miami WR enters transfer portal after 2 seasons with program

Miami receiver Romello Brinson is entering the transfer portal.

He made that announcement on Tuesday evening. Brinson was a member of Miami’s 2021 recruiting class and was a contributor over the last two seasons.

Here’s his announcement:

“I want to thank everyone in the Miami program for everything they’ve done up to this point for helping me academically and athletically,” Brinson wrote in-part.

Over the past two seasons, Brinson caught 14 passes for 189 yards and 1 touchdown. He was a seldom-used deep threat in Miami’s offense this season, but could have made more of a

n impact in 2023.

Brinson was a 4-star prospect in the class of 2021. He was the No. 146 overall player in the country for that cycle, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

Miami is expected to be aggressive in adding talent via the transfer portal this offseason. The Canes have already lost more than 10 players to the portal.
