Predicting Miami’s regular season Vegas win total

With new coach Mario Cristobal in the fold, expectations are high for Miami in 2022.

The Hurricanes return quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, who is amongst the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy this season. They also return key offensive players like running back Jaylan Knighton and tight end Will Mallory.

Miami’s offensive line should also be much-improved. Offensive tackle Zion Nelson is a potential first-round pick. New OL coach Alex Mirabal has an impressive reputation when it comes to revamping offensive lines.

Defensively, Miami loaded up on impact transfers this offseason. Players like Akheem Mesidor, Daryl Porter, Mitchell Agude and Jake Lichtenstein — amongst others — are expected to have an impact.

Cristobal also made 2 key hires on his defensive coaching staff. Longtime coaches Kevin Steele and Charlie Strong will serve as Miami’s co-defensive coordinators this season. Both Steele and Strong have an extensive track record of producing quality defenses.

Looking at Miami’s schedule, there are several key games coming this fall. The Hurricanes will face a loaded Texas A&M team in College State. The conference portion of Miami’s schedule heats up in November as Miami faces Clemson, Florida State and Pittsburgh in the final few weeks of the regular season.

With all of that in mind, here’s a video analyzing Miami’s Vegas win total for 2022:
