One of Miami’s top receiver targets in the class of 2023 will be there in person for the start of the Mario Cristobal era on Saturday afternoon.

4-star receiver Tyler Williams will reportedly be taking a visit to Miami this weekend to watch the Canes take on Bethune-Cookman. He was previously scheduled to visit Ole Miss during Week 1.

That’s according to a report from On3’s Chad Simmons, who notes that this will be an unofficial visit.

Williams is a Lakeland, Fla., product and is high on the list of Miami’s receiver targets in this class. He’s the No. 129 overall player and the 20 receiver in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Miami currently has 1 wide receiver committed in this class: 4-star Nathaniel Joseph, who picked the Canes back in June. Miami also has 3 commitments from tight ends in the class of 2023.

Williams also has offers from programs like Clemson, South Carolina, Texas A&M and Georgia. He took official visits to all 4 of those programs earlier this summer. Because his trip to Coral Gables is an unofficial visit, he still has 1 more official he can take this fall.

Overall, Miami has 17 commitments in the class of 2023. The group ranks No. 9 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings.
