Miami has been in communication with 3-star receiver Micah Mays, according to a report.

Mays, who is currently committed to Wake Forest, has not yet been offered by Miami. But Mays told 247Sports’ Andrew Ivins he could potentially visit Miami “in the coming weeks.”

Ivins called Miami a “school to watch” in Mays’ recruitment.

Here’s his full analysis on the situation:

Mays has been committed to Wake Forest since Aug. 7. If Miami does decide to offer Mays and is able to flip him, he would be a solid addition to the Canes’ 2023 recruiting class.

He’s currently ranked as the No. 520 overall prospect and the 67 receiver in the country for the class of 2023, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 95 player from the state of Florida.

Mays attends The Benjamin School in North Palm Beach. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 175 pounds.

Miami’s 2023 recruiting class is currently in a good spot. The groups ranks No. 10 nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. However, Miami only has 1 commitment from a receiver so far this in this cycle.
