Miami has parted ways with athletic director Blake James, according to a report.

That’s per the Associated Press’ Blake James:

This decision comes just two days after Miami’s football program fell to 5-5 on the season in a narrow loss to Florida State.

The Hurricanes’ basketball program is also struggling. They’ve endured three straight losing seasons under longtime coach Jim Larranaga.

James had been Miami’s athletic director since 2013. He was responsible for hiring for coach Mark Richt and current coach Manny Diaz. The latter of those hires has been under the microscope this season, as Diaz is just 19-15 overall in nearly three seasons at the helm.

It’s unclear if Miami is going to make a change at head coach this offseason. The Hurricanes have been better since September, led by freshman quarterback Tyler Van Dyke.

Several former Miami players are planning to hold a roundtable conversation to discuss the current state of the athletic department this week, per a report.

Miami hosts Virginia Tech on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
