This is a big loss for Miami’s receiving corps, which was already thin and relatively inexperienced. The Canes are also dealing with a major injury for No. 1 wide out Xavier Restrepo, who is expected to miss at least the next 6 weeks.
George did not play in Miami’s first 2 games as he was serving a suspension to start the season.
In his season debut on Saturday vs. the Aggies, George made a couple of impressive plays. He caught 3 passes for 41 yards and made a nice play on a bubble screen to evade multiple would-be tacklers.
