Tyler Van Dyke after Miami's win over Pittsburgh: 'We can compete with anybody'
Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke put up another big performance on Saturday afternoon vs. Pitt.
He completed 32-of-42 passes for 426 yards and 4 touchdowns, leading the Hurricanes to a 38-34 win on the road.
With Miami now posting back-to-back wins, Van Dyke commented on the team’s resiliency after the game.
“This last four games, this team has shown a lot of fight,” Van Dyke said on ACC Network after the game. “We know we’re one of the best teams in the conference. We can compete with anybody, despite our record, or what it was. This team has a lot of confidence right now – and we’re not done yet.”

Despite starting the ACC season with two losses, the Hurricanes are suddenly in contention for the ACC Coastal division title. If they win out and Pittsburgh suffers another loss down the stretch, Miami would be in position to represent the Coastal in the ACC title game.
This resurgence is mostly thanks to the play of Tyler Van Dyke, who has more than 700 yards passing and 7 total touchdowns in Miami’s last two games — both of which were against ranked teams.
Miami hosts Georgia Tech at 12:30 p.m. ET next Saturday.
