Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke made history on Saturday night vs. the Hokies.

He threw for 357 yards and 3 touchdowns in Miami’s 38-26 win over Virginia Tech, giving him five consecutive games with at least 300 passing yards and 3 touchdowns.

Van Dyke is the first ACC quarterback to accomplish that feat in the last 15 seasons, per the ACC Network.

That’s an incredible run for Van Dyke, as the ACC has had some of the nation’s best quarterbacks during that span — names like Trevor Lawrence, Lamar Jackson, Deshaun Watson, Jameis Winston, Tajh Boyd and Russell Wilson, just to name a few.

More importantly for Miami, Van Dyke continues to prove he’s the answer at quarterback moving forward. The Hurricanes have been searching for a dominant passer for years, they may have finally found a longterm solution in Van Dyke.

For the season, Van Dyke now has 2,550 yards, 22 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He’s completing 61.1 percent of his passes.

Miami is now 6-5 heading into its regular season finale vs. Duke next week. The Blue Devils are 0-7 in ACC play, so Van Dyke extending this streak seems like a good possibility.

Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
