Tyler Van Dyke was spotted with his arm in a sling on Monday, according to a report.

The Athletic’s Manny Navarro reported seeing Van Dyke leaving campus on Monday afternoon with his right arm in a sling.

Van Dyke exited the Duke game in the second quarter with an apparent injury and did not return. Coach Mario Cristobal told reporters on Monday that he wasn’t sure about his status for this week.

With Van Dyke presumably having an injury to his throwing shoulder, it would seem unlikely he will be able to return for this weekend’s game against Virginia.

If Van Dyke can’t go, it will be backup quarterback Jake Garcia getting the start. Garcia struggled last week against the Blue Devils, throwing 3 interceptions in the blowout loss.

Miami is trying to get back on track toward bowl eligibility. The Canes have lost four of their last five games, but are favored on the road at UVA this week.

Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
