Duke enters this game with a 4-3 record. The Blue Devils have made strides to improve in head coach Mike Elko’s 1st season. Elko was hired in December 2021 and the program immediately responded to a leadership change.
In Week 7, Duke played a competitive game against North Carolina. The Tar Heels escaped with a 38-35 win over the Blue Devils in Durham.
Van Dyke recognized that Duke is a different program.
“It’s not the same old Duke,” Van Dyke added. “They’re a very good team.”
