DJ Horne leads NC State over Clemson with last-second shot

DJ Horne delivered an important road win for NC State over Clemson on Saturday night.

With under 10 seconds to go, Horne hit a floater while drifting to his right to give the Wolfpack a 78-77 win over Clemson. Here’s a replay of the final shot:

Horne finished the game with 27 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Three other NC State players also scored in double figures in the win.

This was a much-needed win for NC State as its NCAA Tournament hopes are beginning to wane. Despite a 16-9 record, this was the Wolfpack’s first Quad 1 victory of t

he season. NC State is now 1-6 in such games this season.

The good news for NC State is it still has time to earn some Quad 1 victories and get back on the bubble before Selection Sunday. The Wolfpack will end the regular season with a trio of Quad 1 contests against North Carolina, Duke and Pitt.

Next up for the Wolfpack is Syracuse at home on Tuesday night.
