ESPN's FPI projects every remaining game on North Carolina State's schedule
North Carolina State’s season has gone a bit under the national radar so far, but the Wolf Pack are firmly in the mix for an ACC title as the season moves into late October.
NC State is 5-2 so far, but has just one conference loss. Dave Doeren’s squad trails only Wake Forest in the Atlantic division — and the Wolf Pack will get their chance vs. the Demon Deacons on Nov. 13.
North Carolina State has already taken care of business vs. most of its conference schedule. Its only losses so far have come vs. Mississippi State and Miami.
The future looks bright, too.
According to ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI), NC State is favored in each of its five remaining games:
- Vs. Louisville: 77.3 percent
- At Florida State: 66.6 percent
- At Wake Forest: 54.7 percent
- Vs. Syracuse: 84.2 percent
- Vs. North Carolina: 66.6 percent
That Nov. 13 contest vs. Wake Forest could decide who represents the Atlantic division in the ACC Championship Game later this year.
But first, NC State will host Louisville on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
