NC State announces contract extension for Athletics Director Boo Corrigan

Boo Corrigan will be with NC State for several more years.

Corrigan, who recently stepped down as chair of the College Football Playoff committee, signed a contract extension with the Wolfpack through 2029. He’s been the AD at State since 2019.

The Wolfpack promoted that since Corrigan arrived in Raleigh, State has won 16 ACC team championships, 3 more than any other league school during that time frame.

“Under Boo’s outstanding leadership, NC State Athletics is experiencing new levels of competitive, academic and financial success,” Chancellor Randy Woodson said in a release

. “We are fortunate to have such an experienced and well-respected leader to help us navigate through the ever-changing landscape of college athletics.”

The Wolfpack has posted back-to-back top 20 finishes in the Learfield Directors’ Cup, a competitive measure of all sports. NC State’s No. 19 ranking following the 2022-23 athletic year was the first time the Pack has finished in the top 25 in 3 straight years and was the third-highest final ranking in school history.
