After NC State got swept by Wake Forest in the final regular season series, the Wolfpack were widely considered to be on the NCAA Tournament bubble.

That may no longer be the case after NC State avenged its losses vs. the Demon Deacons in the ACC Tournament on Tuesday.

The Wolfpack won 11-8, setting up a winner-take-all game with Miami on Wednesday night. If NC State wins, it will advance to the semifinals of the ACC Tournament this weekend.

But regardless, NC State coach Elliott Avent believes the Wolfpack have done enough to be in the field of 64.

“I think we’ve already solidified ourselves in the NCAA Tournament, but you never know,” Avent told reporters after the game, via 247Sports. “Any win would be big for that. But it’s more than that. You want to go into the NCAA Tournament playing good. Wake Forest is a really good baseball team right now. They are really hot. They came into Raleigh last weekend and were really good in every aspect and showed how good they are again today. Even though I thought we were in, but any win you can get. And you want to be playing good, too. And you’d obviously like to win a championship.

“But yes, I definitely think that we have done enough to get into the NCAA Tournament.”

A win over the Hurricanes on Wednesday night would almost certainly mean NC State has done enough to get into the Tournament. First pitch is at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The NCAA Tournament selection show is on Monday.
