Nebraska athletic director Trev Alberts gave Scott Frost a chance for his fifth season as head coach after seeing some improvement on the field last season.
That was a mistake as Nebraska started the 2022 season 1-2 with the last loss coming at home to Georgia Southern.
Other coaches that are early candidates for the head coach at Nebraska include Iowa State head coach Matt Campbell, Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops, Baylor head coach Dave Aranda, Minnesota head coach PJ Fleck, Illinois head coach Bret Bielema, Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman, and Alabama offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien.
NC State has a big matchup at home this weekend vs. Texas Tech.
