NC State fans troll Dave Doeren with MJ Morris 'missing' poster
NC State fans are frustrated with the team’s quarterback play so far this season.
On campus Monday, NC State fans posted a fake “missing” poster with backup quarterback MJ Morris as the subject. Morris, who was expected to redshirt this season, flashed potential in his true freshman season last year.
Here’s a look at the poster:

Of course, fans got their wish on Monday morning. Head coach Dave Doeren announced that Morris would be NC State’s starting quarterback moving forward.
Doeren replaces veteran QB Brennan Armstrong, who has really struggled this season. Armstrong ranks last in the ACC amongst all qualified quarterbacks in passer efficiency rating.
Morris will now step into the starting role for an offense that has gained just 4.93 yards per play this season. The Wolfpack are the only team in the ACC who are not currently averaging at least 5 yards per play.
Last season, Morris completed 52-of-86 passes for 648 yards, 7 touchdowns and 1 interception. He helped lead NC State to wins over Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
NC State will face Marshall on Saturday.
